Prime Minister Raila Odinga has maintained that the fight against corruption needs to focus on individuals, including politicians, if there is to be any success. Speaking during an economic conference that brought together a panel of local and international personalities including the international monetary fund managing director Dominique Strauss-Kahn and acclaimed singer turned international political activist Bob Geldof, Raila said the war on corruption must be 'personalised'. Just recently President Mwai Kibaki had indirectly rebuked the prime minister over his move to suspend Ministers William Ruto and Prof Sam Ongeri over corruption allegations, charging that the war against graft should not be personalised or politicised.
