This band is very known by most mdm lovers imo. Or it is just me, because I usually listen to bands which only a few people know of.

@Juggler358 I have listened to a lot of mdm and I've got to say that this band is probably the best i've ever heard and I think that when a band starts to get popular, they usually produce more commercial music, so let's keep mdm underground :)

Imo it's only a positive thing if this band gets more known!

insomnium are metal gods in my opinion ... i ussualy don't listen to melodic death metal but these guys are absolutly amazing!

@lowamc "Depressive realism" is the idea that people who are depressed have a more accurate perception of reality. This is due to the fact that they might not affected by optimistic bias-- that is to say, bias formulated because of a positive outlook. Thus they are willing to accept certain facts that an optimistic person might not be willing to accept, and their perception of reality is more accurate because of that.

I don"t know if agree, that's just what the theory is. It is interesting.

@cristian1854 LoTR with a Wintersun soundtrack... epic idea. Wikipedia has them as Power, Folk, Melodeath, Neo-classical, Black or Viking. To me theyre something between Folk and Melodeath.

@cristian1854 I know what youre saying, but I still feel Insomnium can convey emotion, pain, like no other. But yes, Wintersun truly is epic. Even compared to songs from Star One. Just takes you away from this world.
