Growing Pains by Deas Vail. After seeing this band open for mae, I really started to like them so I thought I'd upload a few of my favorite songs by them. Enjoy!

  • I am not christian but I do love your music. You arent overly preachy which makes it easier for me to appreciate your music without feeling uncomfortable.

  • @cynicinaminute That's good. I consider most of the songs I upload to be about life or love, even though the artists themselves may be Christian (like mae and Deas Vail). I didn't even think of myself as a Christian until somewhat recently, and used to feel weird listening to Christian music so I know what you mean. And when people are "preachy", they're just trying to share something they love with others. =)

  • Listen to them in person,Just as amazing as the recording, if not better. You can almost feel how religious these guys are. It's really quite something.

  • @Tannerthesex13 I didn't even really like them until I heard them live. Now I love their stuff.

  • This one site says that Vail means "Humble servant" in French, but that's not exactly true. The word Vaille means "is worth"...so their name means God is worth?

  • @skykid It says on their myspace that it means “humble servant”. Wikipedia says it roughly translates to "Humble servant of God".

  • This band's fan base would have growing pains if everyone heard their music :D

  • @Lilinvader34 i think youre right, though i just say "days" hahaha

  • @skykid i think its latin, or something.. wiki says it means "humble servant of god"

  • I looked up "Vail" in my dictionary, and that comes from a middle english word that means to lower or fall, and if you humble yourself, that's sort of the same thing as lowering yourself in respect, so I think Vail is close to humble.

  • @skykid Vail = to serve .. depending on the translation

  • @skykid Maybe the fact that it's supposed to be old French makes a difference.. I don't know.
