Maruti's A-Star zooms in amid crisis

The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is hoping for a sales surge with its new A-Star small car.While that may be good for the company and the industry overall, the bad news is that production cuts still cloud the auto sector and havent spared Maruti either.Maruti believes in driving volumes to keep margins going and after a few months where its sales have slipped, the company bets on the new, aggressively priced A-Star hatch to revive sales.
