Filmed East Croydon, 27th May 2009. Southern are currently using 2 class 442s on peak time Eastbourne diagrams. This is the 1822 from London Bridge, which runs non-stop to East Croydon via New Cross Gate, then semifast to Eastbourne. For more information see www.southernrailway.com

  • it sounds horrible ... is it meant to sound like that?

  • the compressors did sound somewhat tired and worse than usual, but the 5-WES units are known for odd sounds!

  • haha yes it does sound very odd at the start more like a DMU. im guessing if you got one of them vice a 377 you would be utterly gutted :L nice shot anyhow
