I was at one of Sally's shows last night, she was unbelievable.

I am skeptical , but she told me things that were very true.

She has to be seen to be believed !

I'm not completely closed. I do believe that people can have premonitions about people, things and events, bc I've seen it and I believe it. But these people are clearly lying to take advantage and it's wrong. They're taking advantage of people's personal situations to trick them and then charging them exorbitant amounts of money. It's not right.

@Pentdad ah but that's a little different, I think. Maternal instinct isn't the same thing. Women are wired that way - we're meant to get all gooey over babies, so that we'll take care of them. Doesn't mean we're more likely to believe nonsense. I get what you're saying - and I didn't think you were being sexist or prejudiced. I just disagree. I think it goes deeper than a male/female thing. I too get sentimental over babies, but I'm not gullible or over-sentimental.

@TheAuroraGB I agree and Im not being sexist, Im not a prejudice person. I gotta share this with you though... I work in a big office full of women of many differing personalities. Then one of them brings a baby in... and the change, especially in some of the harder more conservative women is amazing. Suddenley they all turn into pathetic sentimental beings, while the men stay sat! I mean the hard nosed manager suddenley turns into a gibbering blubbering fool! What do you think?

@Pentdad it doesn't really backfire. The preachers believe in what they're preaching, therefore they too are just as gullible. Faith Healing, Mediums, Astrology, Religion, they're all superstitious rubbish. I suppose mediums like this one might appeal to more women than men, but I don't think you can claim male superiority in the ability to reason.

@TheAuroraGB Very true. But your point kind of backfires, because the male preachers are out there exploiting meek and sentimental people. Be it Creflo Dollar, Billy Graham, or Dereck Akorah, these people make hundreds of thousands of pounds and keep the vast majority of it. You see if I felt like a prophet from God, or if I had supreme powers and could contact dead children for upset families... would I charge? I think alot of the sentimental fools taken in by this stuff need to answer this.
