Shortly after the devastating tornado hit Tuscaloosa, debris could be seen falling from the sky as far away as Birmingham. This was taken in the front yard where I was in North Jefferson County, AL on 4/27/11 just as we lost power.

  • Id rather see debris than human body parts which I hear is not far from reality.

  • @necronic666 well yeah, if given the choice between the two...

  • im very glad this happened in the day time...it would have been even more horrific if it happend at night

  • @centervilletn As frightening as it was in the daylight, the potential that it would continue after dark from paralyzing.

  • 10 years ago my town here in maryland had an F5... they found bank papers in deleware!

  • @skybirdbird it was so frightening when this was happening. The power went out at the same time and you could see items from 60 miles away? Insane.

  • I heard a story that a woman in Monson MA lost her Invisalign retainers in the Tornado that hit Western MA on June 1, 2011, and it was blown to Nantucket or Martha's Vinyard, off the MA coast! (The retainers all have a unique ID number on them, so it was tracked back to her.)

  • @thegardenrockstar i'll bet it was... stay safe ((hugs))
