This incredible machine was built as a collaborative effort between the
Robert M. Trammell Music Conservatory and the Sharon Wick School
of Engineering at the University of Iowa . Amazingly, 97% of the
machine's components came from John Deere Industries and Irrigation
Equipment of Bancroft Iowa , yes farm equipment.

It took the team a combined 13,029 hours of set-up, alignment,
calibration, and tuning before filming this video but as you can
see it was WELL worth the effort.

It is now on display in the Matthew Gerhard Alumni Hall at the
University and is already slated to be donated to the Smithsonian.

It looks really Kewl but maybe CG and the info a fake. Still -really nice clip

  • read the end. it was posted over 4 years ago. he thought it was cg. he's not the "retarded" one...

  • @bandersen58 What the hell does FOX News have to do with this video? I highly doubt there's a correlation between how "liberal" one is and how well their ability to identify CGI is. Whether you actually believe your claim is true or you're a troll, I'm going to kick your ass.

  • Computer Graphics surely? (A mate sent me a link to it and he actually thought it was a real mechanical machine!) I reckon that to get just one ball to hit the two strings and a drum would be a once in a blue moon event in the real world. Very nice graphics though!

  • Incredible!

  • This is CG, its on a DVD series called Animusic. No farm equipment involved.

  • And, also, this was a bad video to steal. This went Viral back in '08.

  • It is called Animusic and it is against Copyright Laws to post this vid as your own.

  • How in the HELL did I stumble upon this 2 times in my life? Once in 2007 and now... Both correlating to school, lol.

  • The company has created a number of quite amazing 3D computer graphics music animation videos that are available via the company website. According to information on the Animusic website:

Both the graphics and the music are entirely digitally synthesized. Virtual instruments are invented by building computer graphics models of objects that would appear to create the sound of the corresponding music synthesizer track.

  • Fake......Gay!.Jokes look very fake though. just sayin

  • One Word. ANIMUSIC his is Computer Generated, and a Crap Quality video recording
