Hundreds of other galgos are not so lucky. Several associations are rescuing and rehoming as many of them as possible and trying to urge the Spanish government to ban hunting with galgos:sos galgos, l'europe des levriers, amigos de los galgos, etc.

Paola is one of the thousands of victims of hunters in Spain. "Galgueros" are nasty people who use these beautiful dogs to hunt hares, and when they don't need them anymore, abandon them or kill them in the most horrible ways. Paola was found like that.
