Car plunge family's lucky escape

As reported in Northumberland Today -

Nissan Micra rolled over cliffs at Cullernose Point, near Howick, and plummeted 50ft onto rocks, before careering into the sea.

I was out along the North East coast line taking photos of this and that when I came across a family looking at their car below the cliff half in the sea. The car was actually driven back to the edge of the cliff and then after it was dragged backup it drove onto the waggon on un assisted. Tough bugger or what.

Well done to Craster Coastguards Craig Silk, Ben Larson and Karl Dawson who scrambled down the cliff to retrieve it. PC Barry Hornsby, of Alnwick Police was also on the scene.

the guy didnt put the handbrake on properly, so when he slammed his boot the car took a ride of it's own. luckly his wife and kids had already got out the car.

Nissan should use this as an ad. I was thinking about buying one of these cars, saw this one driving out of the sea and then did buy one.
