  • I see all this stuff about how bad divorse is on children i just don't get it! I just need someone to tell me why it hurts so bad and why i don't understand it

  • Well rose you can stick to your "sunshiney approach" but it is rarely that way. Apparently you never woke up oneday and everything you cared about had been taken from you. Yes, it is a gender issue, women rarely come out the loser, but men usually do. As far parents loving their kids, thats not the issue. The issue is that the system is corrupt and imbalanced. Men don't have any real rights as parents, until that changes. What you suggest is not possible.

  • @unclefixer So sorry to hear of your painful experience. It's not like that in all cases. This isn't a gender issue; it's a parenting issue. Both parents need to care about the kids and work together on their behalf. The damage is based on how parents approach it & whether you love your kids more than you hate your ex!

  • A story book, well isn't that nice. If only it were that simple. What were not seeing is the damage done to the father and the kids. There is no nice way to get a divorce, it a war, a act of hate and act of rebellion. Kids might get through it , but its devastating. Women and the media are ignorant to believe anything could really make it any better. It does permanant damage, it may not be visible but its there. For fathers and children , its a hurt that never goes away.
