There are many advantages to adding an RSS feed to Homestead Websites. There are a couple of website disadvantages too. One of the major advantages of adding a Feed Burner URL to your web site is that it increases the content on your web pages. Displaying greater content gives the search engine more keyword combinations to match that may bring additional visitors to your site. With all of the competition on the Internet, every visitor that we can draw onto our sites is a step in the right direction. Although an RSS feed (or, stream) of content from someones blog may draw visitors to your site and cause them to stay longer, it can have a negative effect as well. These content generators are filled with hyper text links and often times advertisements that may cause a visitor to exit your site when they click on an active link or banner. I recommend placing the feed in the lower fold of the page.
How To Find A Site Feed URL:
You will have to search Google, Yahoo or MSN for a particular site feed URL to add to your Homestead site. Whatever your nitch is about, tennis, cars, sky diving or fishing, you can find a related blog feed to match your web site theme by combing the search engines. Blogs will display various symbols that indicate an active URL feed. The most popular one that I have seen is the large orange square that has text that says subscribe in a reader.
Here's how to add RSS to a Homestead site
1)In the Site Builder program click on the icon that says view communications tools it is located just underneath the clone button that has the sheep on it. 2)Scroll down until you see the Blog tab, left click 3)Now, that has added an RSS box to your web site builder page 4)To the right in your properties manager there's a box that says Site Feed URL. 5)Enter the feed URL address of the blog.

In reguards to the audio library could you please share the URL of your Homestead website so I can take a look at it. I believe that you will have to create your organized library, matching Descriptions to categories and then link them to your audio pages. You can add a search feature to your site and create a navagation link that would say "Search For Audios."
Answer to RSS: To my knowledge there is no way to send RSS feeds through the Homestead system. I called support to confirm today, the tech said it cannot be done.
Hi Jordi, Thanks for the info. I wanted to know how I can send RSS feeds through my Homestead website. So I can an audio hournal on my website that people can RSS subscribe to. How to do that? I also wanted to know how to have a nice looking, organized library or list of my audio journals on my site, organized by category and date, where people can find the topic and date, then click on it to hear the audio. Thank you!
