@therealsolstice Maybe onguy3n meant it the other way? Taufik and Peter Gade are amazing, but their ranking #s are a bit lower than their actual skill, imo. I think onguy3n might have meant it the same way as well.

Peter's won 16 grand prix titles. In all 3 of his olympic appearances, he met the eventual champion; twice in the quarters (robbing him of a medal) and once in the semis (he lost the bronze too). In all 3 olympics, he scored more points against them than anyone else.
He was 33 years old in 2010 and only played 7 of the 10 super series, and he made it to the semis (or better) of every tourney and held a #2 ranking. He's amazingly unlucky.
Are we talking about the same Peter Gade??

Yeah I like them both, but Lin Dan is Chinese, so I like him more.
