very stupid comment of scott, that WWII ended the depression! only fasistoid, austrian economics worshiping F.D. Roosevelt haters spread this nonsense.

it was the "new deal" that ended the depression. war was a big burden, 'cos we weren't able to invest 100% in production, science, infrastucture and so to increase productivity, but had to build bombs and to fire them.

p.s. we didn't rebuild germany or france they did that by themselves.

Not according the courses I took in university. According to them, the US did rebuild Germany... err well West Germany.

And what does invest 100% mean?

Scott did not say WWII ended the depression. He said it is a "defining myth". The gov't and keynesian economist propagate the myth by using the lower unemployment statistics caused by 10-12 million men being drafted for the war.
