A gift from the Earl of Clarendon, Wootton Bassett Town Hall was built towards the end of the 17th Century. A beautiful and unique building, restored in 1897 and 2004, it now houses the town's museum and regalia.
Nice, any idea why they built it on top of pillars ?

@TheGhostCrusader Maybe it was the ultimate rat deterrent. Faringdon's old town hall is a similar construction.
