I am watching these videos about children hearing for the first time with a CI but they all happen in very loud en busy environment. Why not in the seclusion of a doctor's office where they can get used to sounds in a friendlier way??

For all you moron's, this is a 12 year old village girl in Guatemala who lives in a house made of sticks with a thatch roof and dirt floor and has been deaf since birth. The McDonalds Foundation provided the doctors, the technicians, and the hearing aids for her and several thousand other children that were bussed from all over Guatemala in a three day period to receive hearing aids for the first time in their lives. It's noisy and not the clean office with elevator music but they didn't care.
