My grand-father was actually friends with Bing, they both loved fishing, and in the few months before he passed, he would loop this song, over and over in his hospital room. That's my grandfather-Bing connection.

listening to this song brings tears in my eyes, i miss my grandfather a lot. i am 32 years old and i live in india. my grandfather used to play this, & other bing crosby songs, on his gramophone all the time. growing up in north india i was fortunate enough to hear this wonderful music which instilled a respect and love for a bygone era when life was simpler and slower.

Dad would whistle this song incessantly and drive me crazy. Now that he's passed, I would give anything to hear him whistle it again.
