Painted In Exile -"Revitalized"- CD Release Show @ Vibe Lounge December 27th, 2009

Confrontation between Vibe Lounge security and Painted In Exile fans ensued as 220+ Painted In Exile Fans squeezed themselves into the venue of which only had a capacity for 150. Dozens of fans were turned away from the show, some driving from more than 70 miles away because of the overfilled capacity of the venue.

The band had to cut their last song from their set as the Rockville Centre fire marshal put pressure on the owner of the venue to shut down. Painted in Exile fans chanted from the crowd for the band to play more but the Vibe Lounge owner would not allow it. In the decade or so that I have been attending local concerts, never have I seen such an overwhelming turnout for an unsigned band.

Videographers were present in the crowd as Painted in Exile shot their first ever music video at the show. The music video will include live footage as well a plot line that is to be shot in an outdoor setting near the residence of brothers James Murphy (guitar) and William Murphy (keyboard).

Lol these guys are awesome. Big show indeed. We packed a college with 471 people and filmed a video for our most prestigious hardcore act. It was awesome, and an honor to open the show. It was nuts.

Local music scenes will hopefully continue to show support in cities. :)
