Gay Catholic Youth Forum (clip 3 of 10)

This is a segment of a forum for gay and lesbian Catholic youth held during the World Youth Day week in Sydney July 2008. Presented by GLBT Catholic support group Acceptance Sydney (www.gaycatholic.com.au), the forum asks the rhetorical question "Is there a place for gay and lesbian Catholic youth in the Church?". Speakers included a parent couple with two gay sons, a youth worker from a GLBT support agency, a young gay Catholic guy and a Jesuit priest. A short play, "Boys Don't Cry", was also presented. Due to video limitations we have had to split the broadcast into 10 clips representing the 6 speakers involved in the forum. Acceptance Sydney's mission statement is to provide a safe, spiritual and social environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Catholics their family and friends.

If christians (or muslims) doesnt want to accept homosexuality then I accept their right not to do that but dont force it down the throats of gay unbelievers. I dont walk into churches telling them they are delusional for believing in God

Even if the church teaches that homosexuality is a sin, the church ALSO teaches that we are to care for and love ALL people, and to not condemn them but look for the light of God in them. Life is beautiful and sacred and precious. The church says that Gays carry a heavy burden, and are to be loved by the Church. I think when God sees a gay that decides to stay/becoem catholic, he smiles down upon them from Heaven.

Just because you're Catholic doesn't mean you support the sins of the pedophile Catholic priests.Like I've said, these priests are disobeying God.
