Rufus the Blind Bobcat Kitten

Rufus the blind bobcat kitten was believed to have been hit by a car on Dec 4th in South Carolina. He weighed just 4.2lbs, had a broken jaw, split canine and was comatose.

After he woke up from the coma he was pretty loopy, the South Carolina rehabber figured the impact had done brain damage. They had to wire the jaw shut, tube feed him and remove the broken canine. He was taken in by Big Cat Rescue on Feb 12th 2012, he's now eating solids on his own and doing much better despite walking into walls and getting stuck in corners. He was having bad and frequent seizures, but those have almost subsided.

He never fully recovered from the injuries he sustained prior to arriving here. Although everyone did everything they possibly could for him he didn't make it. However, he did have some good days.

Since he is blind and could never be released, what difference does it make how much contact he gets with humans? It would make more sense to give him a lot more contact, not as little as possible.

I'm wondering, he was young and obviously as his favorite toy was a cuddy toy I guess maybe he was feeling lonely ? Mammals have feelings shouldn't he be given some love ? Like atleast some kind of substitution mother I don't know 1:17 he seemed like he wanted contact and it felt a little harsh putting him on his food like that, and beside if he's blind what's the point of treating him as a wild annimal as he will never be able to return to the wild ? Just saying how I feel, keep up the good job
