Aftermath of lethal EF-2/EF-3 tornado, where it crossed I-75 near mile marker 195 (about 2-miles SW of High Falls State Park, Ga). This area is normally a very dense forest, and seeing the large 1/2-mile wide contrasting path of destruction was very startling. The EF-2 damage here occurred at 1am on April 28, 2011; this tornado had begun a half-hour earlier, traveled 30-miles, killed 2 people, injured 22 more, and destroyed a few homes and a church before reaching this highway. Winds were 140-mph, and three semi tractor-trailers were blown off the road. The tornado continued for another 15-minutes before finally lifting.
