Released in 1993 for the Sega Genesis.Composed by Yasuyuki Hamada, Shigenori Masuko, Youko Suzuki, Fumito Tamayama, they also did the soundtrack for Battle Mania Daiginjou.Unfortunately this is another example of a mediocre game with a great soundtrack.

High Quality-

  • Oh come on, this game wasn't THAT bad. I actually liked it, and it was harder than sonic, and it's not a Sonic ripoff, it's a platformer typical of the era

  • It wasn't the worst game, but it never really excelled in any area besides it's music.

  • I love this game. <3 Even if it's a "Sonic Ripoff", it's a fun game to play. And the soundtrack is amazing. A member on Sonic Retro was making a disassembly of it, but he seemed to stop working on it. :\ Heck I even helped a bit...

  • @StarDr0ps

go play the game. it's impossible for you to go through it without dying. i rented the game, got my ass kicked, then replayed it again a decade later and it's still a piece of shit in terms of gameplay. like those little zaps used for energy, even though the bar just goes down by itself anyway. and the levels are a freaking nightmare. they have bumpers spawned in the worst places, and the levels are a nightmare to navigate later on

  • @benjamillion Meh whatever, that's your opinion.

  • @StarDr0ps

rip off or not, it was still a shallow and unforgiving piece of crap game

  • @benjamillion Every Genesis game I've come across like this, they all get the "Oh Hurr, it's a Sonic rip off!" Might as well call every platformer game of this era a Sonic rip off. :/ To be honest, I don't think most platformer games after Sonic were trying to "rip off" Sonic. Sure they may have been inspired by it but they were their own game. Had their own characters, levels, layouts, etc. I don't think it's fair to call every platformer game of this era a Sonic rip off.

  • @benjamillion This game was most likely created by Sonic fans for Sonic fans. Despite being produced for the platform the Sonic series started on, Sega did not sue Vic Tokai. They also created an NES game many consider to be a Mega Man 1 ripoff, Magical Kids Doropie / The Krion Conquest, which probably has more innovations than Time Dominator 1st / Socket.

  • I played this game growing up (Beside Sonic 2 and I was about 6 or 7 years old at the time) and I have to say this: It may be a Sonic ripoff, but it's the BEST Sonic ripoff I've ever played ^_^.

The colorful graphics, the awesome music, the familiar side scrolling Sonic fast gameplay feeling. I loved it but unfortunately, it was so underated

  • This is a fun game, come on guys :P I have the cartridge from when I was a little kid and I still play it every now and then. It helps that Fumito Tamayama did the music too :)

  • I Don't Really Find This Game That Horrible,I try this game and I actually Like it,True that it may not be one of the Best Genesis Games,or the best one to Copy's Sonic Gameplay,But This is A Good Game to me,and It's worth adding to your genesis collection. ^^ Plus, the Soundtrack is just Awesome!! <3

  • This was my FIRST videgame EVER with sonic pinball
