Controversy surrounding DU-usage - While conducting research on the use of illegal/questionable weaponry used in Iraq (DU, WP, etc.), came across the following documentary on DU usage throughout Iraq and then Kosovo. Considering its continued use in today's Iraq war, the content should be considered highly relevant.

I appreciate your response. I just do not understand the use this material. Thanks

DU is so dense that it goes through tank armor or any other armor for that matter like a hot knife through butter. Lead or even hardened steel can't come close to doing this. I'm not justifying the use of DU only answering your question.

What is the advantage of using depleted uranium weaponry vs. regular bullets, bombs etc? Is the purpose to make people sick, if ya dont kill them first?
