@jonazz48 lol, slash is the blues god dude! Most blues lick nowadays are inspired by him.. Kirk is great in arpeggios, hammering and alike.. its fact! Im not saying one of them better..they both kick ass and i love BOTH..anyone saying one of them suck was a kids! grow up dude..

@Alder1989 He plays blues, but not as good as Kirk. Besides Ride The Lightning solo or Fade To Black solo shits on any Slash's solo..

@paulmccartneyes Slash is one of the most over-rated guitar players ever.. Kirk is way better, but Steve Vai, Chris Broderick or Marty Friedman are better than both.. Slash was best guitar player only for GnR.. his solos career is nothing special..

Yesterday I saw Slash vs. Jimi Hendrix... Now I see Slash vs. Kirk Hammett.. Damn, do you really need some special consideration to find out the answer? It's immediately obvious that Kirk is better. Slash is good, but he just plays. Kirk is one of the best and he ROCKS!
And is Slash better than Hendrix? This question should never come into existence..

everyone says kirk is better but if you play guitar you will know that he is just faster, no better then slash.
