In 1994, it became legal in the United States for Native American church members to consume peyote during their peyote ceremonies. The active constituent of peyote is mescaline, both of which are schedule 1 drugs here in United States. However, Native American church members are exempt from any penalties associated with their legality.

well, maybe "WE" could do what terrence mck. said we should do back in 1994, create a church based around salvia. "its still legal in most states now" could this be virtually done on you tube? maybe if more people were more serious or concerned with the spiritual nature of salvia it could be done one way or another with the time to go to court and the money to do it.
