@gald4540 To make a rack for four kayak's you would only need two - 48 inch high (2x6) risers.

@larrylynn123 Thanks for the comment. I didn't mention it in the video, but I used a clamp and a couple 3 " screws to hold the arms inplace while pre drilling the pilot holes. Best wishes on your project !
