Video uploaded in memory of my "pal," George "Spanky" McFarland (1928-1993). Still reigning, undefeated, as "The Champ" of kid cinema. A native Texan, the "Spank" knew from an early age to take no guff from the pesky or prissy. Behold the mighty mite stinging like a bee.
Clips in this video derive from film producer Hal Roach's 1932/1933 "Our Gang" short films.

I remember me and my brothers and sister sitting in the living room as kids watching and laughing every week day in the early 70's.What years they were.
What a cast of kids assembled.Give credits to the scouts.My son is 21 years of age now (African American) and in collage, I gave him the nick name (Spanky) the day he was born, because he was as cute as the "Little Rascal".

Spanky is a wonder, a natural, adorable little boy who had the gifts of charm and laughter. His expressions are priceless, his slow burn, that hearty laugh, his wide, innocent eyes, and, as he grew older, his down-to-earth disdain for snobs and phonies. I never tire of watching him, his humor and comic genius are timeless and hilarious. There has never been a child actor to equal him, he is truly one of the greats and will be forever young.
