Rodolfo's cry at the end has to be one of the most haunting things in opera. It always gives me chills. Roberto sounded fantastic in this.

Una fra le migliori Bohéme che io abbia ascoltato, visto in teatro o dvd degli ultimi anni. La mente, inesorabilmente, mi riporta alle coppie: Callas/Di Stefano, Freni,Cotrubas,Scotto/Pavarott
i ed ancora Tebaldi/DiStefano,Kraus/Scotto ,Ricciarelli/Carreras,Caballè/ Tucker. Ma in questo finale sia la Gheorghiu che Alagna hanno dato il meglio di loro stessi (lei la rivedo, oltremodo "in parte" anche nel contesto finale della Traviata al C.G diretta dal compianto Solti). Bravi!!!
