  • Oh, and Coover's story is written on cards resembling the suit of hearts from a regular deck of playing cards, hence the story title: "Heart Suite." No Tarot cards were harmed.

    Many of McSweeney's's publications were actually printed in Iceland.

    Chabon's contribution is from a novel he spent several years writing and later abandoned. He didn't lose the manuscript, he just accepted the manuscript as unfixable.
