@hpd929 -- No kidding? Just what happens when you think you're educated . . . with fancy credentials and institutional affiliations . . . living in your own little self-deluded, self-serving academic world.

Then . . . you come across an "amateur" like Hitchens who actually thinks about things for the LOVE of them . . . and you get the uncomfortable insight that your life, such as you've known it, has been a complete waste.

I have watched many of Hitchins's vids. And it astounds me how he is able with such knowledge at his disposal to keep quiet and wait for his turn to speak, when u know he is able to articulate with stunning precision a better explanation than most. I'm so glad he's become media savvy.

I would love to dig up Cuno's ancestors' funerary objects and headstones and distribute them worldwide. I would also claim he's not really a descendant of these peoples due to him being an American considering he doesn't speak the ancient teutonic langauge.

@rherrick123 Yes. Hitchens thought there was WMD's in Iraq. He understands nothing about bio chem weapons systems, and their constituent parts, manufacture and storage.

Apart from that I cant think of a thing.

@rherrick123 So far I've only caught him on two minor mistakes, one regarding Napoleon and the other regarding Italian fascism, both mere semantics.

He doesn't know that Champollion was not a Napoleonic officer and not the discoverer of the Rossetta Stone, for one thing.
