This clip is from a 1987 short film directed by Stanislav Sokolov and about the struggle of power between darkness and light in a world of dreams. The film is based on two Hans Christian Andersen stories, "The Marsh King's Daughter" and "Hill of the Elves" - both written by the famous Danish children's authors to convey social, moral, and philosophical messages to a mature audience.
