Pauwels shouldn't have been sitting up at the final turn like that, you could pretty much plan on an attack coming into the turn with such a short straight. Looked like Pauwels still had the opportunity to come through on the left, if he really had the sprint in him.

Pauwels mediocre sprint is the reason he wasn't in a better position to get to the inside of Nys and have a legitimate reason to be pissed. He should have thanked Nys for the lesson on leading out a sprint from the front!

Nys didn't do anything wrong! He rode very strong all day and was the best in the sprint, no discussion about that.

The finish wasn't proper! In Race on ProTour he would be disqualified!

Was that Pauwels looking so pissed at being edged out in the sprint finish? Hard to tell if Sven knew which side he was on. Oh well, it goes to the guy who wants it most I guess.
