Part 1 is mostly based on the old Max Fleischer (Betty Boop) cartoons. Max Fleischer invented the Rotoscope (the section with Fry walking/bouncing on the asteroid with the mountains rotating behind him is the modern version of rotoscoping).

This episode was genuinely funny- I LOVED IT!

The video-game segment is my favorite one out of the entire episode, I laughed really hard. The other two art segment but they're not like great or even funny... maybe 2 or 3 chuckles BUT the video game part is BY FAR my favorite.
