yuck. he needs to do a lot of work on improving his blocking. however, his receiving ability is comparable to Jason Witten. Welcome to Philly!

they compliment each other well for that reason , hes a bigger downfield threat than celek

Celek initially was not a good blocker. It was a facet of his game that he worked very hard on for a few years

He doesn't appear to be the greatest blocker but Celek is a great blocker

Good feet, very good at getting off the line of scrimmage in the passing game. Not much of an in-line blocker but Ertz looks to have the size and hands to be an effective receiving tight end in the NFL.

Just throwing this out there, but if he's not taken by the time we get to the late 20's, Tony Gonzales will be retiring from the Falcons, and they might snag Ertz for TE help if he's still around.
