  • first of all, dont cant people idiots. second, I am a cypriot, not greek. When the british people left engalnd around 250 years ago, they landed on plymouth rock and are now called Americans!!! The same with Cypriots, they left greece over 3000+ years ago and are now Cypriots..... Americans are never called Anglo-americans, you call them americans.

  • @varoshah & @mytowelisblue (part two): It's ridiculous because in the US reside citizens from all kinds of ethnic backgrounds NOT JUST British. The United States are what their name implies and not exactly a nation. In Cyprus there are two significant nationalities, the Greeks and the Turks. You can't forbid me to believe that my nationality is Greek which is a justified argument. Plus there is no such thing as a Cypriot "nation". Speak for yourselves but NOT for the rest of us.

  • @varoshah & @mytowelisblue : You have every right to call yourselves Cypriots, it is a perfectly legitimate and acceptable claim since it means you are citizen of the Republic of Cyprus as a sovereign state plus it clarifies you were born or grew up in the island of Cyprus (regional categorization). Furthermore though, you have NO right to speak for the rest of the island's population when it comes to their NATION. The comparison with the US is ridiculous.

  • Can someone please tell me the name of this song?

  • kala re...ti pathate oloi mazi m? ego ti ipa gia tin kipro pou den ine alithia k den sas arese? ipa oti ine elliniki? oti imaste oloi ellines?

  • you cant compare americans to greek cypriots.americans fought with Britain back in 1775 because britain manipulated the british people who went to live in america.thats how british-americans started to call them self americans and not british. nothing like this happened to greek cypriots. would you like it if i told you that you shouldnt call youself Maronite for example?

sorry if i said something that offended you.

    PEACE

  • sorry???WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?that comment was sent...like...1 year ago. think you are talking to the wrong person.what do you know about my views on cyprus?you should say those things to "varoshah" not me. what i wrote doesnt have to do with cyprus. but history in general.

  • Oh, and you really know about history?, you can't call a Cypriot Greek, that's what it says on your ID, but I know that some of Cypriots speak Greek and some others Turkish, though I'm a Cypriot Maronite, that proves that Cyprus is a multicultural country, so you can't call it Greek, we have an absolutely different attitude towards to Greeks, but we still love Greece and we are glad having her by our side but please do not tell that Cyprus is Greek, you'll see what I mean thanks

    Peace in Cyprus

  • I was last summer...The PERFECT PLACE...is my favorite...

    NA PATE OLOI....

  • Bravo Varoshah (Niko)..thank you :-) Yes..yes...Cypriots!!...

Marinamflycy & 20129119.. sorry...you're way out of your league here..you are way too young to be judging.....

    we lived it...

The youths in Cyprus are taught what the Greeks want us to believe...aka...brainwashing...as time passes, the truth about our history/country is getting buried further..(after all, the books that are in the schools in Cyprus are mostly, if not all, from Greece..are they not?

  • i dont say you are an idiot. but really. you dont know ANYTHING about history
