  • My mom recently had a stroke but fortunately she's just fine now.

  • Yes. I was told I wouldn't walk again. Now I'm Inline Skating and Long Boarding again! However I still can't type with my right hand or write well with it, so I've been forced to become left hande, which feels awkward! 8 months at the hospital, and 8 years to get to this point!

  • My 15 yrs old best friend Syd has stroke. I'm 17 yrs old girl with Hemiplegia Cerebral Palsy

  • what does 'semi-professional footbal player" mean?

  • He might not be completely recovered, but it is possible. At the least, he could recover significantly enough to lead a typical life. My son had a stroke that left him unable to use his left hand and walk. With the help of Botox and a few other unconventional treatments, he can now do anything with his left hand (even to catch a baseball), and can run typically. He's not 100%, but nobody can tell that he had a stroke.

  • Typically right hemisphere injury with no real insight or cennection with reality - no way a guy like him 5 yrs after the stroke will be fully recovered within another 6-12 months...

  • This is very good info. I have a new stroke patient who's caregivers are using my product "Lift-A-Life" for transferring him from bed to wheelchair. Strokes are hard to recover from - depending on the severity.

  • THANKS:)))

  • All I can say as a survivor is...take with a HUGE grain of salt what the doctors predict. Only YOU know what you're capable of..not them !!

(If it was up to them, I'd still be in a wheelchair..for the rest of my life !) NOT!

  • My brother has a stoke at 33! Was very scary - he's much better now. Amazing how many lives strokes affect.
