@xXArjaXx well, since they fired her two weeks later, i seriously doubt that they were kidding. it may have been a joke, but they meant it as an insult.

@77elvistheking Indeed, but lets not forget Steve Morse! DP couldn't find a better replacement! I believe that bands should just split when things like that come up, so that friendships wouldn't be ruined. That's what Evergrey did and there are two great bands now from the original members, one still being Evergrey ofc and all of them are still friends.

@ValEomen Agree! EGOs and stupid personal differences always lead to crap like this in bands though. Take Ritchie Blackmore and Ian Gillan from Deep Purple! They hated each other something which lead to Blackmore leaving the band..... But, he formed Rainbow which is one of the best bands Evar!

@77elvistheking I don't really know what is a lie or not concerning their personal choices but as for letting her go before the album, if they didn't feel like doing it, they did the right thing. Nobody should force anyone in anything. I like both old and new NW and I like Tarja's solo career as well, so it doesn't really matter to me as long as both deliever good music for us to hear! :)

@ValEomen Anyway, I'm happy that she left Nightwish because she made a wonderfull solo career and she comes to Greece every 2 years, taking photos with the fans and signing everything they give her. I'll love a Nightwish reunion, I can't hide this ;)

But just to mention, I don't like the new Nightwish but if someone likes them it's fine. I never ever bitch about Anette and everyone is OK :)

@ValEomen And actually, most times I don't care about things like these in bands, but it was strange with Nightwish. They had a perfect singer, they seem to get along well in this documentary and then they fire her that way because for her reasons she couldn't stay with Nightwish anymore? That's just lame. With that letter it seems they were jealous of her for some reason and they wanted to hurt her career by saying that she doesn't care about the fans {a damn LIE}.

@ValEomen Yes I agree but I don't understand why they had to do something like this to their friend. It was Tarja that helped them be what they are now, that's a fact, her voice made the huge difference. Even if she said that she wanted to leave, let her stay till the next album as she probably wanted to leave after the 10th anniversary and then let her go. What was the purpose to give her a letter and then go public saying many lies too?

@77elvistheking Doesn't have to do with my opinion, only facts... If you are asking my opinion, I don't think Tarja is a bad person neither the rest of NW. I actually like both. I know for some it sounds hard to believe, but I am actually one of the few people mature enough to suppport music and not care about why some musicians just didn't get along. It's just another part of life. Long story short, both are great, they just didn't get along on the way, end of story. ;)

@77elvistheking I am sorry to break it to you, but days earlier before that interview she told Tuomas that she would be doing only one more album album and leave (all written in the public letter). Besides, that wasn't my point for the ironic part. The point was that she was saying this while the rest had already decided to kick her out.
