patient has extensive decay on root of tooth because tooth had shifted and food was getting impacted between teeth. Patient could have had wisdom tooth extracted earlier or worn a night guard to prevent tooth movement. When the enamel is removed the next color can be yellow , gray or brown. Usually it is yellow.

I will never be too embarassed to go to the Dentist again!! I had no idea that teeth get soft and scoop away like that, I for some reason, always assumed that they turned brittle lke bones and cracked or fell out....ick. I promise to brush for 3 minutes twice a day and floss everyday!!!
