Sitting at an intersection waiting for the light to change, between Milan Cadorna and Milan Centrale. This is one version of the italian signal light. Another for example in Rome has a large red light.

  • USA does not have yellow+red either (except Massachusetts, even then only at pedestrian crossings).

The Ticino and most of Switzerland, as well as Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro have the yellow+red before green phase.

  • Do you mean the yellow+red? I didn't know that. Anyway yellow means: If you can stop, stop; if this would be dangerous because you are too close to the stopping line, go on and don't risk an accident trying to brake. Probably you have already found this out. Bye!

  • USA has more traffic lights than it knows what to do with. We do not have the yellow+green phase anywhere in the USA, at least not Texas.

  • don't you have traffic lights in the USA? :D :D I know that the difference is they are on the opposite side of the road and not next to the stopping line. Bye
