On another, more positive note that relates to the video, I just did some opening hands and opening first turns, and in 15 tries, I had 15 OTKs within the first 3 turns each time. And, these OTKs consistently had a decree or trunade too. Running merchant at 2 really, really helped I think, it allowed me to pull ninishi to my hand with much more ease, or summon a Kuick or Soldier for synchro fodder.

Your judge was clearly an idiot.

Exact text from the card: You can only Special Summon this card from your Extra Deck by sending the above cards from either side of the field to the Graveyard. (You do not use "Polymerization".)

There's a reason why people run Cydras in their side decks (and Fortress, too), and for most, it's not as a beater. It's to special summon it and give your opponent a -1 or more.

Have you tried adding in 1-2 Merchants? I feel that it's a much better card in this type of build than synchro magnet. Merchant will easily help pull out level 9s with ease. For fun, Instant Fusion/Cyber Dragon SS, summon Ninishi, normal summon merchant (+1), Machine Duplication, Bureido, Burei (Draw one), Trishula/Mist Wurm. Makes otks much easier. How many CSs do you run?
