Every Sunday morning, the boyz gather to explore the stick fight with minimum gear, maximum power, and no rules. This is the game the UFC called "too extreme". These are Canadian Dog Brothers in training. This is way too much fun.....

  • @bsumiko frist of all, DBMA and the Gatherings are not for selfdestruction, here in europe normally only light Gloves and Fencing mask are worn, if kneepads only those of neopren to prevent cuts through Ellows or a knee to the mask... the second thing is that there are similarities in the Styles but even so big differences 2 in DMBA u use full swings and in most of the Kali-Systems u use stoped swing, just try it at home full swing and stoped swing u will feel the Difference in Power...

  • @bsumiko those Sayoc guys are out of their minds. Rattan can easily crack a skull, pulp an eyeball or shatter a hand. Ever been hit with one? At the DB Gathering last year I permanently disfigured my hand getting hit THROUGH my glove. Granted it was a lighter "street hockey" style glove that is more for keeping from cutting my hands throwing punches (those fencing masks are like a cheese grater...). Even still, for the rest of my life my dominant hand is partially crippled. This is "minimum."

  • You call a fencing mask, huge hockey gloves, elbow pads, and knee pads "minimum gear"?? Did you see the Sayoc guys stick sparring? They use rattan sticks and NO GEAR. No gloves, no helmet, no eye protection, no nothing. Blood starts flowing real quick.

  • Nice job warriors, I like this. I train under Burton Richardson, one of the early Dog Brothers .... I love the stick and knife more than any other part of the training.

  • thats some heavy hitting. respect.

  • good spirit bro

  • Is this Loki and the guys?

I train with Mike Tibbits and the Hawaii Clan.

  • the low forward moves are well done

you should do this in a alley with 4 men

there is also a good control in the real contactpoints. no followups if unnecessary.

  • looks fun!
