When I first heard this song I was a freshman in college in the state of Oklahoma 1980.. I am from DC where country music is Corny.. I must say, I loved listening to KEBC, (Keep Every Body Country) in Oklahoma City. That was the only radio station I could clearly hear in Langston, Oklahoma. LOL

Love this song. Listened to this a million times as a kid, but just a couple weeks ago, while learning to play guitar, I realized that the E chord sure sounds like the beginning of this song. So I You Tubed this song and was right! Hes strumming that E chord at the beginning of the song. Funny how old stuff comes back to ya.
