:43 OH YEAH! Went to FL and CO in that family vehicle.

Why is there a 58 Plymouth in this vid?

@hearsedriver1968 You're freakin smart man. I like your style! Awesome vid. Love the old white woody! Take care.

@hearsedriver1968 Well, you could have supported an American company and bought a Jeep, a Chevy or Ford or GMC or Cadillac truck, and their are plenty of American sedans. Alas this is America, and by all means the consumer has the right to sell out the country oh and how they do it every day.......

ugh man they just dont make em how they used to

i guess I was lucky to have been there as a kid all through the 70s when these were new, and as a young driver in the early 80s when you could buy them for next to nothing and have fun with them. I had an old 74 Pontiac that I bought for 75 bucks in 1983. Worked great 'cept it had only front brakes (well, some of the time, the rest of the time it had none at all) I put it in a ditch and some old guy with a 1/2 ton pulled us out and we drove away. Try that with todays' cars. Life was fun then.

Very cool! Thanks for post!

@hearsedriver1968 We see alot of SUV's here in the suburbs of southern California. Nobody want to be seen in a mini van or station wagon, so if the yuppies have more than 1 kid, the "cool" thing is to get an SUV..worthless here because it never snows ... rarely rains.... and there are thousands of square miles of endless asphalt,, its hard to find any dirt roads here. So we got alot of houswives driving their SUVs to malls and soccer practice.. worthless!
whats the 3rd car?

@RuBenByS The car you asked about is a 1977 Ford Thunderbird. This bodystyle was made from 1977 thru 1979. Other make made similar cars, like Chrysler Cordoba, Pontiac Grand Prix, and Chevrolet Monte Carlo. In the 70's these were known as mid-size "personal luxury" cars. Thanks for the comment and if you wish to know more just ask.

Sadly, these things get BETTER gas mileage than those worthless SUVs.

@videoguy604 Yes they did , however , in some areas of this vast country of ours , those "worthless" SUV's are worth thier weight in gold, such as here in Northern Michigan, where we measure snow in feet,,,,not inches. To my knowlege one cannot tow a boat, or camper with a Chevy Volt. My Toyota 4runner, and Nissan Titan truck serve me well, as does my everyday driver, a 2011 VW Jetta diesel. No car is worthless, unless you drive a Pontiac Aztek,,,,,Thanks for watching
