History will sort out what effect the tea party had on american political discourse. My feelings? Not just conservative, but fundamental resistance to change from not necessarily "un"educated Americans just those who take a "world-as-I-see-it" mentality. Mostly reactionaries (not proactionaries or liberal thinkers) who happen to be white, middle-lower income earners.

Not many people want a 23% sales tax.
But it could not be 23 -- it would have to be 60-90%, according a study Fairtax actually cites in it's own book. Fairtax The Truth Book on page 138 tries to tell you that not only are they going to tax city and state governments, but they claim an expert panel backs them up on this.
This panel actually said their tax rate would be 60-90% and doesnt back them up at all.
In other words, FT lies to you dumb asses.

Want proof? See their own fucking books. That's right -- their own fucking books. They pretend to get most government revenue FROM the government. Make every city government, every state government, every county government pay huge fucking taxes. See page 138 of Fairtax the Truth Book, for example.
Do you fucking wanna know why Fairtax leaders have avoided hearings under oath for 12 years?
