Roly, you do understand how much of a common Nvidia fanatic you are, right? Two GPUs to one, what does it matter? The two GPUs are still CHEAPER and performs better.

Which would you pick;

- The one with better value AND performance

OR

- The one more expensive and lackier only becuase it carries a single oversized, badly-yielding GPU?

I can play Crysis on my low end PC - S939 AMD Athlon 64 x2 3600+ (2.0) 4gb DDR400 1xEvga 9600GSO 1gb DDR2 I benchmarked on high settings and medium settings @ 1028x720 Avg FPS with CPU on HIGH: 22 fps Highest CPU FPS on HIGH: 43 fps Avg FPS with GPU on HIGH: 21 fps Highest GPU FPS on HIGH: 44 fps Avg FPS with CPU on MEDIUM: 30 fps Highest FPS with CPU on MEDIUM: 45 fps Avg FPS with GPU on MEDIUM: 32 Highest FPS with GPU on MEDIUM: 46 fps

yeah for some reason the core i7 doesn't run well at 1680x1050 as well as the AMD 955 black edition. I've read it on forums but on my AMD 955 OC to 3.8ghz with a single 4890xoc edition i get about 35-50fps on crysis...crysis warhead i get around 50fps at 1680x1050. im guessing that amd and ati really work well together :)

an i7 920 at its measly 2.6 stock wont be as good as this e8400 at 4ghz! theres ur problem! i have a phenom II 955 at 3.86ghz and i get about the same performance as this guy. the problem is not many processors on the market can even come close to reaching the full potential of the 4870x2... try some overclocking (u can easily reach 3.0-3.2 ghz)

+ fresh install maybe.. I have my 4870x2 since yesterday and gta4 don't run smooth.. crysis did run well on 1680x1050 very high 4xaa but now my screen is gone.... PC's huh...
