China's leader is promising to improve his country's food safety after dairy(乳品業) products contaminated(v.污染) with a chemical called melamine(三聚氰胺) have made more than 50,000 children sick. Officials in Taiwan ordered 160 products containing(v.包含) Chinese milk and vegetable-based proteins(n.蛋白質) off store shelves. In Indonesia(印尼), officials started recalling(v.回收) some of the most popular Chinese dairy products. Teams of government inspectors(n.檢查員) scoured(v.搜索) supermarkets in and around Jakarta(雅加達). Across Asia, consumers(n.消費者) are wondering, what's safe? Worries here and beyond. Parents across Asia are also reportedly heading to hospitals to get their children checked out.
