10 Bagatelles by Alexander Tcherepnin. Several of these pieces are commonly learned by piano students, but the suite as a whole is worth a listen I think.

No. 1 - Allegro marziale
No. 2 - Con vivacità
No. 3 - Vivo
No. 4 - Lento con tristezza
No. 5 - Dolce
No. 6 - Allegro con spirito
No. 7 - Prestissimo
No. 8 - Allegro
No. 9 - Allegretto
No. 10 - Presto

Bagatelle means "little nothing", and these pieces have a feeling of spontaneity and of having been just "tossed off" by the composer on a whim. Many composers have written bagatelles, and they're usually short pieces, although many of them are not "nothing" to play, let me tell you.

For more information about Alexander and the talented Tcherepnin family, see the website for the Tcherepnin Society at www.tcherepnin.com

#5 is my favorite.
