I doesn't need to sound like Nirvana. And in all honesty, I don't think anyone can anyway. Kurt Cobain may not have had a whole lot of talent as a singer but he had a very distinct sound that completely suited the mood of the music.

Idol started long before this and it still took their contestants a couple more years to figure out that you can really show your musical chops by finding a unique arrangement to reflect how well your voice works instead of just karaoke-ing it.

I love this for so many reasons. This is my favorite Nirvana song, brings out my love for that band. I also think this is when Fortune really showed his chops and in turn brought the competition to a whole new level. He turned the heat up so high only a few could stand the fire. The rest were burned away. And aside from the obvious fact( yeah I'm about to go there lol) that he's not hard on the eyes, his voice is one of the best in the biz. Who wasn't mesmerized by it for 3/4 of the song???
