Embraer unveiles new Indian AEW&C platform

In Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil, Embraer on 21 February unveiled the unpainted ERJ-145 regional jet serving as the platform for the airborne early warning and control aircraft (AEW&C) ordered by the Indian government's Defense Research and Development Organisation. Three ERJ-145 AEW&C's will be integrated with the DRDO CABS radar, which is still in development. The aircraft will enter operational service in 2014.
