Stage 2 modification of what was originaly a single gearbox/motor 6volt ride-on toy quad-bike. A second drive has been added and the gearboxes are now external and allowed to pivot freely with a spring return so as to provide a cushioning effect against full-torque starts, rough terrain and other shocks to the soft plastic cogs inside. Quad has been fitted with "turbo" button to up voltage on demand. Normally it would run 12/24volts, but this really NEEDS heat sinks to be fitted to each motor. For this test a 12 volt and 6 volt battery are being run to make a 12/18 volt system. Next video will feature full 24volt system and the quad's hill-climbing abilities on rough terrain.
